      The Lawrence County Department of Job & Family Services (DJFS) is the focus agency for the administration of Human Services, Child Support, Workforce Development and Children Services programs enacted through federal, state, and local authorities to all county residents without regard to race, color, national origin, disability, age sex or religion.  The agency is open to the public between 7:30 am and 4:30 pm Monday through Friday and closed on all legal holidays.

     Our mission is to provide courteous and efficient service to  Lawrence County residents in their applications for benefits and services to which they are entitled, promote and train a qualified workforce to satisfactorily meet local industries’ needs, secure and enforce court-directed child support obligations, and ensure the safety, well-being, and nurturance of our children.
